Peniche

We decided to stay local today.  Peniche has a fort built in the 1600's and turned into a polical prison in 1934.  Fascinating place.

Came back to the apartment, put on our bathing suits and went to the beach for a couple of hours!
Good day!

Country of contrasts

We took a walk this afternoon-- it is only a block from the apartment.  Wanted to show you the two sides of a small fort on a narrow point.  Each side so different from the other. Tomorrow we pack and clean.  Monday we move to a new place for a week.  It is called Sesimbra and is located south of Lisbon on the Atlantic.  The picture of the apartment shows a balcony overlooking the ocean.  We shall see!!  (No pun intended) Then the following Tuesday we fly back to the Good 'Ole USA!!!!!

South

Drove South today.  Again we went off road.  We seem to have better luck finding neat things. More coastline, but each spot seems a little different. Ended up in a town called Lourinha where they were having a festival/market.  Walked around for a while  And drove "home"

Itinerary

We leave this Sunday, April 30, from the Port of Tampa on the NCL's Jade for a repositioning cruise to England. 5/1/17       Key West 5/2/17       Miami 5/3--5/9    6 days at sea 5/9            Ponta Delgada, Azores, Portugal 5/10          At sea 5/11          At sea 5/12    ...
