Country of contrasts

We took a walk this afternoon-- it is only a block from the apartment.  Wanted to show you the two sides of a small fort on a narrow point.  Each side so different from the other.





Tomorrow we pack and clean.  Monday we move to a new place for a week.  It is called Sesimbra and is located south of Lisbon on the Atlantic.  The picture of the apartment shows a balcony overlooking the ocean.  We shall see!!  (No pun intended)

Then the following Tuesday we fly back to the Good 'Ole USA!!!!!

Drove South today.  Again we went off road.  We seem to have better luck finding neat things. More coastline, but each spot seems a little different. Ended up in a town called Lourinha where they were having a festival/market.  Walked around for a while  And drove "home"

Itinerary

The last 3 months have been pretty hectic at our house.  We have had tons of company--all of whom we enjoyed immensely.  During that time, Jim became ill with double vision and A-Fib.  He was in the hospital twice.  He still has the double vision and the A-Fib was brought under control with a procedure called a cryoablation.  We both decided it was time for a change of scenery!  So, with the doctors' permission, we planned a two month trip to Europe.  I was on the computer a good 14 hours lining up the places to stay and transportation.
